Product Introduction
Description
Tantalum foil strips exhibit exceptional properties essential for various industrial applications. Renowned for their high melting point, superior corrosion resistance, and excellent conductivity, these materials are indispensable in electronics, aerospace, and chemical processing. The foils and strips, crafted with precision, boast high purity levels and offer optimal performance under challenging conditions.
We supply tantalum foil strips and a wide variety of tantalum products. Backed by extensive expertise, our products meet stringent standards, ensuring a blend of precision and affordability.
Manufacturing processes
Tantalum ingot melting by using electron beam – forging breakdown(at the temperature of 400 °C or less) - annealing - roughing - annealing - strip rolling - annealing - foil rolling - heat treatment.
It is best to use a cold press for forging breakdown, and the forging temperature should not be higher than 400°C(the surface of the forging turns blue at 400°C). Cold forging has a large contact surface and good material uniformity, which can reduce the pollution of gas impurities.
Tantalum foil & tantalum strip are processed by cold rolling. The total machining rate is 80% to 90% of the thickness of the slab, and the total processing rate is 6% to 8% of the plate thickness. To ensure the surface quality of the rolled sheet, a surface with no defect, pollution, or roll is required.

Tantalum can be used as a replacement for platinum for laboratory apparatus which has to have good corrosion resistance. The fluids in the human body do not react with the metal and, it is used for surgical implants without rejection. It is also used as an alloying element with, for example, nickel and molybdenum, to produce alloys that have good corrosion resistance, strength, and ductility.
Packing: Wooden case, plywood case, or according to client's demand.
