Pure tungsten wire is ideal for many applications in the medical industry, it is commonly used in electrical applications as well such as making electron emitters. The tensile strength of it is extremely high and usually increases as the gauge (diameter) of the wire gets smaller. Unalloyed Tungsten is often regarded as being very difficult to machine and fabricate. Due to its high-temperature strength, tungsten can be used in many heating elements. Introduction of tungsten wire

 

The resistivity of it is 5.3*10^-8. Tungsten has a high melting point, high resistivity, good strength, and low vapor pressure. It is the best material for making incandescent filaments among all pure metals. But tungsten is hard and brittle, and it is difficult to process. When the current passes through the pure tungsten wire and is heated to a certain temperature, the resistance value of the tungsten round wire also increases to a certain value (generally, the resistance value of the metal wire increases with the temperature).

 

Irregular tungsten wire: by customer's requirements.

Straightness tungsten wire: For the tungsten straight wire thinner than 100μm, the vertical height of 500mm freely suspended wire should not be less than 450mm;

For the tungsten straight wire at or thicker than 100μm, the maximum arc height between pints with a distance of 100mm is 10mm;
