Description

Owing to its excellent corrosion resistance, Nickel hexagonal bars are often used in electroplating.

 

Nickel is mainly used in alloys (formulas) (such as nickel steel and nickel silver) and as catalysts, especially as a catalyst for hydrogenation. Nickel bars can be used to manufacture currency, etc. Nickel can be plated on other metals to prevent rust. Nickel material is mainly used to manufacture stainless steel and other corrosion-resistant alloys, such as nickel steel, nickel-chromium steel, and various non-ferrous metal alloys. Copper-nickel alloys with higher nickel content are less prone to corrosion. Nickel is also used as a hydrogenation catalyst and in ceramic products, special chemical vessels, electronic circuits, glass coloring, and nickel compound preparation, among others.

 

Electrolytic nickel: Electrolytic nickel is nickel produced by the electrolysis method. Stainless steel and various alloy steels made from it are widely used in fields such as aircraft, tanks, ships, radar, missiles, spacecraft, and civil industry in machine manufacturing, ceramic pigments, permanent magnet materials, electronic remote control, etc.

 

Main features

Pure nickel wire is a filamentous material made of nickel with a purity of 99.0% or higher. Nickel hexagonal bar has good corrosion resistance, electric heating performance, and conductivity, and is widely used in fields such as electronics, chemical industry, petroleum, aerospace, etc. The preparation methods of pure nickel wire include smelting, forging, drawing, annealing, etc. Firstly, pure nickel material is melted to obtain high-purity nickel billets. Then, the nickel billet is forged into a nickel rod, which is then drawn by a wire drawing machine gradually refined into the desired filamentous material, and finally subjected to annealing treatment. Pure nickel wire has good mechanical and electrical properties.

 

Pure nickel wire has a wide range of applications in various fields. In the chemical industry, corrosion-resistant equipment and lining can be used to manufacture chemical reactors. In the petroleum industry, pure nickel wire is used to manufacture petroleum drilling tools and well casings. In the aerospace field, pure nickel wire is used to manufacture high-temperature components of aircraft engines and structural materials for spacecraft.

 

Nickel Hex Bar R405 is normally used for marine, chemical, and machine applications. R405 is highly corrosive resistant and has high strength properties, good weldability, and formability.

Alloy 405 (UNS N04405) is a nickel-copper alloy with high strength and toughness. Alloy 405 also has excellent corrosion resistance in a range of media including seawater, hydrofluoric acid, sulphuric acid, and alkalis. Due to its increased sulfur content Alloy 405 has enhanced machinability. Alloy 405 is chiefly used for automatic screw machine stock and is not generally recommended for other applications.
