About this item:

Platinized titanium anode describes the titanium coated with the purest platinum. The electrocatalytic functional layers of platinum or various precious metal oxides are used throughout virtually the entire electrochemical industry.

 

The platinum coating is applied employing high-temperature electrolysis (HTE). The platinum is deposited from a cyanide molten salt bath at temperatures of 500 to 600 °C. The functional platinum layer thus produced, shows excellent adhesion in addition to high ductility and maximum purity. It is possible to produce layers with high platinum thickness, maximum corrosion resistance, and excellent service life.

 

Titanium is usually used as the substrate. Expanded metals, sheet metals, round stock, tubes, rods, ribbons, and wires of the most varied materials and dimensions are available. The base metals meet the specifications of DIN and ASTM.

Platinum-coated titanium anode has been widely used for ionized water generation by tap-water electrolysis.

 

After the tap water is filtered, it flows through the electrolytic plate (platinum titanium anode) of the ionized water generator for electrolysis. Positively charged ions such as potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium in the water flow toward the cathode to form alkaline ionized water.

 

Negatively charged ions such as chlorine, sulfur, and phosphorus flow toward the anode to form acidic electrolytic water. The electrolytic water machine uses activated carbon as a filter layer to filter tap water and make it purified to the standard (to meet the national drinking water standard).

 

Then through electrolysis to generate two kinds of active water, that is, electrolytic water. The water that flows from the cathode is alkaline electrolytic water (for drinking); the water that flows from the anode is acidic electrolytic water.

 

Electrolytic water is popular as a sterilization treatment technology with good sterilization effect, practicality, and no secondary pollution.

 

Functional water is produced by the electrolysis of drinking water or trace desalinated water through titanium electrodes and is widely used in electrolytic water machines.
