Pure titanium material is divided into three grades based on its impurity in Chinese GB: TA1, TA2, and TA3, with the impurity elements gradually increasing, while the mechanical strength and hardness gradually increase and their plasticity and toughness decrease accordingly. The commonly used titanium is TA2, due to its moderate corrosion resistance and comprehensive mechanical properties. TA3 can be used when high requirements are placed on wear resistance and strength. TA1 can be used for better molding performance requirements. The TA1, TA2, and TA3 in the Chinese GB correspond to Gr0, Gr1, and Gr2 in the UNS system. TA1 and TA2 have good low-temperature toughness and high low-temperature strength and can be used as a low-temperature structural material below -253 ℃. TA2 is the Chinese GB specification for industrial pure titanium, with a density of 4.51g/cm³.
