Shaanxi province has defined 23 key industrial chains to promote high-quality economic development. Among them, the new material industrial chain led by the titanium industry and titanium material processing has matured after years of development. The province's titanium material processing volume accounts for 65% of the country, maintaining a leading position.
Paying attention to system construction is an important part of the development planning of the new material industry. At present, there are few international standards formulated by China. Recently, the naming system for titanium and titanium alloys, which was developed by the BaoTi group, a subsidiary of the Shaanxi nonferrous metals group, was officially released by the international organization for standardization and applies to more than 140 member countries. It marks a historic breakthrough in China's international standardization in the field of titanium.

However, in the initial stage and promotion, the BaoTi team faced many difficulties.

We have actively communicated with the ISO Secretariat through telephone, e-mail, Internet, and other means to advance our project orderly. Therefore, this achievement has not come easily. We will use this achievement to create more achievements in the future.

By deploying the innovation chain around the industrial chain, Baoji started the construction of Baoji Titanium Valley New Material Industrial Park for the purpose of building a world-class titanium and titanium alloy industrial base.
