1.Production capacity

Thanks to breakthroughs in production equipment and technology, driven by demand in aerospace, marine engineering, petrochemical, and other fields, China's titanium production has grown rapidly in recent years. According to the data from the Titanium Zirconium Hafnium Branch of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association the domestic titanium capacity in 2022 has reached 0.15 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.0%. To is expected that shortly, with the deepening of national policies such as national defense and military modernization, green development, and the launch of the Industry 4.0 version, the high-end application and potential market space of domestic titanium materials will be further expanded. It is expected that China's titanium production will reach 0.1876 million tons by 2023.

2. Titanium products

According to morphology classification, titanium materials mainly include plates, titanium rods, pipes, forgings, foil strips, wire materials, castings, etc. Referring to the proportion, the production of plates, titanium rods, and pipes reached 90.07% in 2022. Among them, the production of sheet metal is 85,000 tons, accounting for 56.29% of the total titanium capacity; The production of titanium rods is 33,000 tons, accounting for 21.85%; The pipes is 18,000 tons, accounting for 11.92%, while the others product is 15,000 tons, accounting for 9.93% of the total.
